72 Hours in Park City, Utah

This is a story all about how... Park City stole my heart.

I'm not sure what I was expecting when I booked a long weekend for us (kid-free) to Park City in late September. The entire time we were there I kept thinking "this is magical" and the locals kept reiterating that we were visiting at "the best time of year."

The mountain backdrop, the amazing food... this kid-friendly ski-town blew me away. I can't wait to venture back to Park City! Below you'll find the sites, stays, and eats in this quaint, western city!

SITES //

  • We visited Park City in the late summer / early fall and Deer Valley still had its summer lift tickets available. We spent a few hours riding the ski lifts up the mountain, taking in all the views, and being in complete awe of the landscapes below.

  • I highly recommend this as a spring/summer activity.

  • And for all those first-time lifters (me!), your first ride is the scariest... it gets easier with time.

  • Just a short drive (~30 mins) outside of Park City, High West is an experience. Take a shuttle up the mountain to this distillery nestled on top of a mountain.

  • Take a distillery tour, have lunch/dinner, and enjoy the beautiful 360° views.

  • This quaint ski town was everything I imagined it would be. Great food, shopping, and art studios.

  • Locals keep it casual in their clothing - I actually felt a tad over-dressed for dinner.

  • If you're visiting in the summer, don't miss the Park Silly Sunday Market.

STAYS //

Hotel Park City (pictured) $$

  • We abosolutely loved our stay at this Autograph Collection hotel.

  • Beautiful rustic, outdoorsy decor, and it's just a three-minute drive from downtown Park City.

  • Tucked into the Park City Golf Club, Hotel Park City has its own wonderful amenities - gym, spa, outdoor pool (heated & open year-round), and free parking.

  • Was personally not a fan of the food options on-site, but knew going in we were planning to eat most of our meals in downtown Park City.

  • Straight from the website: "Being Utah’s longest-running Forbes Five-Star hotel and spa, guests experience the best mid-mountain access, award-winning dining, indulgent spa treatments, and entertaining après, making Stein Eriksen Lodge a premier year-round resort."

  • Voted United States Best Ski Hotel by the World Ski Awards in 2021

  • If you're looking to splurge, check out Montage Deer Valley... expansive views, a 35,000 square foot spa, and just minutes from downtown Park City, this destination is a guaranteed year-round showstopper.

EATS //

The Park City food scene deserves its own post entirely. I was SO impressed by the quality of the food, the ambiance, the different cuisines. While the views were something, it's the food that will keep me coming back.

  • "A bagel a day keeps the doctor away" - err at least it does in my world ;) Atticus was a quick and easy morning stop for a bagel and coffee on the go before checking out some local trails.

  • Try: The Usual bagel, Matcha Lemonade, Dirty Chai

Harvest (pictured)

  • "food. coffee. people." is Harvest's tag line... so fitting. This cute little restaurant is right on the corner of downtown Park City. Incredible morning views with great breakfast and lunch eats, stellar coffee... all while looking up at the mountains. Tell me how it gets better that this.

  • Try: Paleo Banana Bread, Nourish or Savory Toast (both are amazing!), Cappuccino

  • This Southwestern restaurant had us hooked from the moment we walked in. From the metal goblets to the Mexican decor, and the beautiful carved wooden detail from floor to ceiling, this is a meal you can't miss.

  • Try: Queso Fundido appetizer, Duck Enchiladas, Churros, House Margarita

  • Local ingredients, impressive cocktails, & a dessert menu to die for - what else could you want?

  • Try: Cauliflower appetizer, Fried Chicken hearty meal, and Banana Tres Leches for dessert

Have you been to Park City? What did I miss?! Let me know :)
